Conversations with Noted Physicist, David Bohm

Posted on August 8, 2016 By

The following conversations with the late physicist, David Bohm, are appropriately titled Beyond Limits. He was one of the foremost scientific thinkers and philosophers of our time, who also was inspired by mysticism and the teachings of J. Krishnamurti and the Dalai Lama.

His overriding concern was with understanding the nature of reality and consciousness.

These conversations encompass his life work, and outline his provocative views about the new physics and the nature of reality itself. Bohm studied with Niels Bohr and also worked closely with Oppenheimer; and  he was one of Einstein’s proteges. Dr. Bohm relentlessly pushed modern physics to adopt a more profound understanding of the nature of reality; not simply as a universe composed of disconnected parts, but instead as a profoundly interconnected reality.

His book, Wholeness and the Implicate Order, treats the totality of existence as an “unbroken whole;” and it was one of the most important and provocative books I read during my years in the academy.
